Volunteers
The Family Support Network of Central Carolina could not exist without the assistance of the many generous individuals who support us as volunteers. Here are a few of the many ways you can help local families get the help and support they need to provide the special care their children deserve.
*Become a Parent Mentor- Our Parent Mentor Program focuses on providing emotional support to families who have a child with disabilities or special healthcare needs or a child who has been born prematurely. Family Support Network follows the researched and endorsed practices of Parent to Parent USA for parent support. For more information about Parent to Parent, check out their website. If you feel you could help other families by becoming a Parent Mentor, please fill out our volunteer form below.
*Volunteer for Sibshops- Our Sibshops program provides a fun and supportive environment for children in grades 1-6 with siblings with disabilities. As a volunteer, you'll help create a space where these siblings can share experiences, make friends, and feel understood. If you're passionate about supporting these amazing kids and their families, we’d love to have you join us.
*Volunteer at our Events- From our NICU socials to our annual Holiday Jamboree, we rely on contributions of time and energy from community partners like YOU! There are many ways you can help bring our services to families in our area. Please fill out the volunteer form below if you are interested in helping to coordinate or help out at one of our many events for families.
*Serve on our Committee- We are always looking for parents and community members that would like to help us with the planning of our various events and fundraisers throughout the year. There is a place for all skill sets!
