9/2: FSNCC's MOMS' group. 7-9pm, Home of Monica McGuire. Moms with children of any age and any type of special needs are invited to join our fun and informal support group. Meet other Moms that can relate to the joys and difficulties of raising a child with special needs. For more information click here. For a calendar of all of our meetings for 2010-2011, click here. 9/3: Autism Society of NC, Guilford County Chapter's Coffee Break. 9:30 a.m., Maxie B's, 2403-7 Battleground Ave., GSO. Come and join the ASNC-GC for their informal monthly morning coffee break that allows parents to get to know each other and exchange ideas and strategies for parenting their child with autism, and to discuss sibling issues. 9/8: FSNCC's Daytime MOMS' group. Mimi's Cafe, the Shops at Friendly Center, 9:30 am. Due to overwhelming demand, we are very excited to be starting a Daytime Moms’ Group, an informal support group for mothers of children with special needs. The group will be meeting the 2nd Wednesday of every month for either breakfast or lunch. For more information, click here. 9/8: NICU Babies Just Wanna Have Fun! 9-11 a.m., the Women's Hospital of Greensboro Education Center, Classroom #2. Please join us as Carrie Suwalksi, Pediatric Physical Therapist, and Lisa Shoffner, FSNCC Home Visitor, lead families in a play session with their babies, and offer ideas and tips to enhance development through play. 9/9: Autism Society of NC Alamance County Chapter Meeting. 6:30-8:30p.m. Shiloh Presbyterian Church , 2638 Grand Oaks Blvd., Burlington. Tried-and-True Tips for School Success. Anitra Lambeth and other ABSS teachers will offer advice on making school a successful team effort. Childcare is available. You must RSVP for this service, with the number of children attending, one week in advance of the meeting.   9/16: FSNCC's Sensory Processing Disorder Support Group. 6:30 pm, Women's Hospital of Greensboro's Education Center, Classroom #1. Come & join us for an informal meet & greet to kick off the new year of meetings! Meet other parents of children with SPD & discuss: New school year schedules & transitions, Topics we would like to learn more about this upcoming year, Our upcoming make & take session, & SPD news. 9/16: Autism Society of NC, Randolph County Chapter Open Meeting. Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), 1738 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro. Child care available with RSVP. 9/17: Autism Society of NC, Guilford County Chapter's Back to School Potluck. 6:30p.m., Brooks Global Elementary, 1215 Westover Terrace, GSO. Join ASNC-GC for their first meeting of the year. Representatives from Tumblebees Ultimate Gym and Family Reflexology will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about their services. Please bring a covered dish to share with friends. 9/26: Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro's Mom's Nite Out. 7:00p.m., Coldstone Creamery at Friendly Center. Join other Moms of children with Down Syndrome for a fun and relaxing evening out. 9/28: ADHD support group. 6:30-8:30 p.m., Trinity Church, 5200 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro. Dr. Thomas Kuhn will be joining our support group for parents of children with ADHD to discuss Medication Management.
