The Family Support Network of Central Carolina serves families of children with special needs and those born prematurely in Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties in North Carolina. Services include support programs for Moms, Dads, and siblings of children with special needs; parent-to-parent matching; resource and referral; special family events; and much more. UNCG's Genetic Counseling Program supports the DSNGG with information, resources, and volunteer assistance with our programs and events. This two-year program prepares students with the knowledge and proficiencies to practice as genetic counselors in a variety of settings including prenatal, pediatric, adult, and cancer genetics. The National Down Syndrome Congress offers a wealth of information and resources for people with Down syndrome and their families. This organization offers great information, including an online store of items to help you show your support of people with Down syndrome. The National Down Syndrome Society is one of the foremost organizations influencing policy and legislation regarding people with DS.
